Pay by Phone now available at West Devon Car Parks

A message from West Devon Borough Council

Please be reminded that PayByPhone is coming to our West Devon Borough Council owned car parks this Sunday, 12 January.

Anyone using our car parks will need to use the PaybyPhone parking app if they want to pay for parking through their phone. They will no longer be able to use our current provider RingGo from this Sunday for cashless parking.

Residents and visitors can continue to pay by cash at one of our machines if they prefer.

The PayByPhone app can be download at:

For those already using the PayByPhone app, they may want to re-install it to make sure they are using the latest version.

More advice on using the PayByPhone app can be found on our website.

Please help spread the word by sharing this information with your communities

Message from Devon and Somerset Fire Service

We would like to hear from as many people as possible across Devon and Somerset to better understand our residents’ views. Please can you complete the online survey and share this with your networks. Should you or anyone else be unable to complete this online please call 01392 872354 and leave a message with your name and number. Please see attached a poster for you to display if there are any appropriate places, or please include in any timely newsletters you may have. We will also be posting on our social media accounts so please share if you are able to.

Rogue Traders in the area

We have been made aware of incidents in Devon of rogue traders knocking on doors and suggesting work needs carrying out on the owners roof.  These people are giving the false impression of being a local reputable company making it difficult to instantly recognise as a rogue trader.  Advice from the Local Authority, Devon and Cornwall Police and Trading Standards is not to employ anyone knocking on your door touting for business and we are asking our town and parish councils to advertise this message in their newsletters and on local notice boards so we can get this message to those residents who are not regularly on social media.
